The Artisan 4618 Series Needle Feed Post Bed Lockstitch Sewing Machines feature Gear-Driven Top Roller Wheel Feed Pressers and Bottom Gear-Driven Lower Roller Feed Wheels.
The models 4618, 4618R (Discontinued), and 4618C Heavy (Discontinued) use a standard size “G” Bobbin and Rotating Hooks.
The 4618-LBB is a newly designed Big “M” size Bobbin and Rotating Hook machine, and the 4618C Heavy uses a “G” size bobbin. Both of these post-bed machines were designed to stitch heavy or thick threads up to size Z-207. An example would be the assembly of heavy-duty leather boots for forest firefighters, smokejumpers, or lumberjacks.
The 4618 and 4618 R (Discontinued) are intended for stitching normal leathers for both assembly and decorative stitching on fashion shoes and western-style boots. All models include a top-loading bobbin mechanism with a push-button stitch length regulator, semi-automatic lubrication, and are built to withstand the rigors of production sewing. Our model 4618-R includes a Reverse Feed Mechanism, and sews up to 5⁄32” thickness. The 4618-2 is a double-needle version for standard size threads with up to a 2.4mm or 3⁄32” gauge.
The Artisan 4618 Series Needle Feed Post Bed Lockstitch Sewing Machines include the exclusive Artisan 800 watts, 1.0 HP digital Electronic A.C. Servo Motor model ACF-625 and the Drive Unit stand has a USA manufactured laminated plywood tabletop with “T” style steel adjustable legs with heavy-duty locking caster wheels, an ADR-124, LED gooseneck lamp, an accessory drawer and accessories like extra Schmetz needles, bobbins, manuals, and a tool kit.
